I’ve asked people what niche they’re in and they respond with something like “weight loss”. My response is “weight loss” isn’t a niche, it’s a market.

If you go after broad head terms you won’t rank first page in Google SERP’s. You need to rank first page to get the visibility that brings you traffic.
Do yourself a favor and target keywords that you’ll actually have a realistic opportunity to rank for because you need to rank.
Everything begins with this step in terms of getting traffic.
